The hitboxes are slightly off sometimes you'll dodge a bullet by a hair & still get hit. No hotbar, no number row, 1 button per category each. You have 1 active item, 1 active tractor, 1 active seed. Every thing is coded as a scroll wheel to a single button. Update: I googled it & being able to "unlock" the permanent upgrades relies heavily on RNG. Hell I don't even know "how" I unlocked some of the characters. There's no "hand-holding" or goals for that matter. Upgrades are 100% not balanced (which is fine for the most part IMO) You've got maybe 2 mins plus before returning to town. Can't map to num pad or even use it (in general) Like custom controls? Well certain buttons are out. The game just drops you into it, with a 2min tutorial that doesn't even explain some of the finer mechanics like mega crops, what roses are for, how to heal, etc. If you're broke once you'll be broke forever till you die. Most "runs" in this game are less than 10 minutes in length.Įnemy difficulty scales with time, so too does shop costs etc. There's no time to "farm" if you even want to call it that. It's actively encouraged to "hold" down both mouse buttons. This game has nothing on the difficulty when compared with demon souls lol. In-game upgrades are a short walk away, and diversified.įor some reason the game is still compelling enough that I keep wanting to go back to it, but TBH I think it's just me wanting to at least finish a fully year and unlock permanent upgrades before throwing in the towel on the game. too bad it requires rng to unlock any permanent upgrades. It's a rougelike I guess? Props for trying to make a new "genre" of farming. I'm 5-10 hours in and still haven't gotten past winter year 1, yet I can play Issac on hardmode.
